Quality of Life

As a district we’ve grown fast. Really fast. There are more people, more tourists, more traffic, more everything. But what impact has this had on us all?

To get a picture of life in our district, we hold annual Quality of Life surveys with help from independent research company, Versus Research. This anonymous survey has been in place since 2018

The answers provided in this survey gives not only Council, but social services organisations, with the data and insight to ensure the big issues are being addressed.

Who can take part

The survey is open to all members of our community 18 years and over (not just ratepayers).

What is covered

You will be asked questions about a range of subjects including growth, safety, income, community connections and personal resilience.

For the 2019 survey, there are also a range of questions exploring wellbeing, as well as looking in-depth at some of the key issues highlighted last year, such as mental health.
